ASICS FUJI TRAIL TEAM REPORT #1/25

 The year is off to a flying start !

First of all, the end of the "mercato" and the arrival of 7 new athletes: 5 that we would like to introduce to you here, Lili Beck , Kaline Osaki , Tibère Debiset , Johannes Nussbaumer, Virgile Moriset and the big name: Tom Evans. We'll keep another resounding new arrival in store for you in the coming days! 
A group of our athletes are sending us some great vibrations from Kenya, to Item, where they are training and discovering this incredible running culture.
And finally, the start of the races, with 8 events and 7 victories already, including 2 on the utmb world series circuit.

You can't miss a race at home in your own garden .... but you still have to win it! Dimas never hides and never hesitates to get back to the community of runners in his region. After ‘just a month of training Genis decided to return to @trailzoquetes, over a distance of 37km. It was a good option for intense training, as it's a race that always has a top level and also a positive test after an ankle injury at the start of the winter. To all the observers who still think that mountain runners are ‘hikers’, Xavi's 28.53 over 10K "puts the church back in the middle of the village"!

Bendikt loves the mountains and snow of Switzerland, he's a bit like the GOAT of the region... A return to the snow with our excellent spiked boots, the Setsu and a good victory to start the season 10 minutes ahead!

A long journey to the desert and the heat of Saudi Arabia for Adi and he found all the elements he loves to perform there: victory over the 100K queen distance and the new record!

In full preparation for the Trail season, our athletes are diversifying their approach and trying to boost their speed, particularly on cross-country and road events. Here's a quick look at Marie, Quentin and Romain, who are dominating regional competitions, and Mathieu, who preferred the sunshine of Marrakech for his half-marathon.

For our mountain athletes, skimo and cross-country skiing are effective preparation tools and they program .

It was a full speed debut race for Sara, with a 7th place overall on an atypical course with some fairly technical costering in places, under the threat of some fairly extreme weather. Direct from Kenya, where he spent three weeks on training camp.... Miguel quickly changed planet to face up to some tough competition and difficult race conditions. 

A good result which, despite a lack of freshness, shows a very good level at the dawn of a promising season.

We've all been looking forward to the return of the GOAT at home.... and we weren't disappointed!  

2 hours in follow-and-wait mode, to get our bearings, then the engine started up to open up the gap and finally the end of the race in control + course record.
