ASICS FUJI TRAIL TEAM REPORT #22

 From the sands of Jordan, to the mountains of Mexico and Spain, and even on the roads of France and Italy, our athletes have shown great energy over the last two weeks.

 With 96 successes, they are approaching the symbolic figure of 100!

Sissi is inexhaustible !!!! Two weeks after the Grand Raid de la Réunion, having already recovered well, the desire to experience this wonderful adventure in the Jordanian desert was too strong. Sara had made the trip to Mexico with a great desire and a great feeling for training .... and well, the attempt was transformed: she came very close to an exploit, with a scratch victory ahead of the men, which was a first on an event by UTMB. If she only finished 2nd, behind a man, it was only because she was misdirected on the course, lengthening it by 3km. A major athletic performance, that's what Andreu has just achieved once again. Just imagine: 50 km in 3 hours 28 minutes, that's 14.4 kmh, but if you take into account the 2600 metre difference in altitude and apply the rule, well accepted in trail running, of converting climbs into distance, you get 76 km, or a theoretical speed of over 21 kmh ..... Theory aside, Andreu won this race at breakneck speed, showing his energy and health at the end of the year!

Genis can be proud of this podium that he shared with one of his big brothers from the tealm : Andreu .

Just as he can be proud of his extraordinary season with a series of performances in the big leagues. We're proud too, Genis!

Xavi goes fast at the end of the year! The format of this 10K is atypical, with 5 laps to complete, which adds intensity and a crazy pace to this race.

With this extremely difficult mountain race, almost 4,000 metres of ascent over a marathon, in a highly technical format, Antonio ended this exemplary season with a good 6th place and 5th place in the world rankings. 

His consistency on this very difficult championship is impressive, both in terms of the athletic density and the risk-taking required of the riders. 

Completing all the stages without injury is a real achievement!

To conclude his speed development cycle, Ben chose this very popular Semi Marton Trabes Lourdes . 

He showed great speed here, winning in 66 minutes, but above all, and this is the most remarkable thing, he ended his Ultra trail season in perfect health, full of energy and continuing to develop his natural speed... the performance is there!
