ASICS FUJI TRAIL TEAM REPORT #14

 An active team over the last two weeks !

Almost all our athletes have chosen to devote a large volume of training to preparing for the UTMB week, supplemented by technical and fast Alpine races, and the signs are on the right side with 6 new successes. 

In terms of activation, our ASICS TRAIL ELITE FACTORY and ASICS FUJI CAMP programmes are continuing in the French Alps to meet with runners ....

Victim of a bad virus which deprived him of the Mont Blanc Marathon, "Xavi" has regained his legs to win the 40th edition of this classic on the Alpine calendar.  https://www.instagram.com/p/C9st3jnor71/?hl=fr

Another victory for Lukas on this 4th stage of the World Cup, and once again he has beaten the odds ....this time it wasn't a piece of luggage lost by the airline (which happened to him at Monténegro last week), but a delayed flight ! Genis confirms his good form with this 4th place in the Sky Running European Championships, concluding his good preparation for his objective at the end of August, the OCC.

In the heat of the Scandinavian summer, Anna won her 2nd 100-mile race of the year and showed that she was back to her best with a record time of 16:21 and a victory ahead of the men! https://www.instagram.com/p/C9r1S7mN9hx/?hl=fr&img_index=2

 Race after race, Julie made her mark on the international scene, on this classic of the calendar, in the magical setting of Mont Blanc, taking a fine 5th place, 2nd in France, and above all improving on her time from the last race by 5 minutes! https://www.instagram.com/p/C9xZnHLNgHw/?hl=fr&img_index=1

For Romain, it's his first year on the world circuit and he's already competing with the best (4 Kenyans in this top 10), in all the classics on the calendar that he's discovering... The magnificent Trail de la Rosière provided the backdrop for the 3rd selection day of the Trail Elite factory programme:

-in Normandy at the Trail des Cascades on 15 June
- in the Pyrenees at the Font Romeu Nature Trail on 23 June
- in Alsace, a round of the Trail du Schnepf on 29 June was unfortunately cancelled.
- in Savoie at the Trail de la Rosière on 14 July.

Many thanks to all the organisers for their cooperation and the warm welcome extended to the Trail Elite Factory teams and all the candidates on the programme.

As a reminder, more than 250 young people applied for the 2024 programme and 97 of them were selected to take part in a selection round.

Our ASICS FUJI CAMP programme continues in the French Alps with the 2nd and 3rd dates in Valmorel on the MAD'TRAIL and in Alpe d'Huez on the OISANS TRAIL TOUR. A real success for this programme with nearly 200 consumer meetings on each date around the now famous ASICS teepee, for a presentation of the range by our brand trainers and a community run led by our ASICS Trail coachs. Next stop in August at Méribel, then it will be Chamonix to close this programme.
